Justin L. Collamore, President

Justin’s passion for creating started as a child of 5 when he had his first garden. From gardening came a love of art; he started painting and studying art and continues painting to this day. From art he found a love for Architecture. His goal was to find a way to incorporate all these passion into a way to make a living.

He started at The University of Cincinnati, studying architecture, art and planning. From there he went to The Ohio State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture in 1998. Upon graduating, he received the ASLA Honor award for excellence in the study of Landscape Architecture. He put him self through college by running his own landscaping business “Green Side Up”.

After graduation, he worked at Schooley Caldwell &Associates, a local design firm and later for Kinzelman Kline landscape architecture, where he designed amazing projects like the Adena State memorial in Chillicothe. He also worked on the Columbus Zoo Historic Carousel Renovation and OSU Mack Hall renovation to name a few.

With this foundation of knowledge, in 2002 he set out to create Collamore Built LLC.
His mission is to unite client needs and the needs of the natural environment through thoughtful design. His goal is to be honest and upfront and treat his clients the way he would like to be treated.

Justin has been married to Allison Collamore for 13 years and they have a 9 year old son, Elias Indigo who keeps them on their toes.

Nate Porter, Master Crafstman

Nate Porter, Lead Carpenter

Nate was born into a family of Master Craftsman. Working alongside his father Bill Porter from age 10 he quickly learned that he wanted to follow in the family tradition. Nate learned that being a carpenter was not just a job but an art form. He learned an extensive range of carpentry as well as being an active liaison between contractor and client. He became an expert in construction from frame to finish. At 25 Nate headed out on his own to be a Master Craftsman.

Nate knew what he wanted to do but felt that if he was going to be building homes for families he wanted them to be the safest they could be. In 1999 he studied Fire Fighting and passed the Ohio Fire exam I & II. From there he studied Fine Arts at Ohio University and was the wood shop safety authority for the campus arts program. There he gained a love of art and focused on 3D Sculptures and Architecture, a passion that he continues to nurture.

Moving to Boston he quickly got noticed for his skills working for Landmark Finish. His reputation led him to work with some of the best contractors in Boston. One of those contractors being Tom Silva of the Silva Brothers who you can see on the PBS show “This Old House”. After 5 years on the East coast, Nate returned to Ohio to be near family.

Nate takes a great deal of pride in his work and it shows. Collamore Built is proud to have Nate as our Lead Carpenter. Nate enjoys people and teaching the young and old about what he does and beauty it can create.

Nate has been married to Heather for 5 years and has a new puppy Fenway.
