Master Bath

We decided to update our 20-year old bathroom. After visiting the home shows, we interviewed five remodeling companies and each one submitted a proposal and estimate.

We were most favorably impressed with Justin Collamore. His personal attention to the design and details is what mattered most. Within the concepts we had in mind, Justin was able to steer us to designs, materials, and finishes that were the most appropriate.

We went on three “shopping trips” with him for final selections. We looked at dozens of vanities before settling on a custom vanity (three assembled cabinets) that works perfectly in the space. It is topped with a custom veined soapstone slab that is the centerpiece of the bathroom.

Justin’s workers were excellent and cleaned up every day. Keep in mind that a full re-tiling of a bathroom (floors, shower, and tub surround) is not a weekend job.

Justin’s price was very competitive and very fair. We highly recommend him for any construction or remodeling project that you are considering.

2 Basements, Kitchen, Bath and Living Room

By Justin · Comments (0)
Thursday, March 29th, 2012

I just received a call asking for recommendations/references from a person you are proposing to do a project for. As questions were asked I reflected on the three distinct renovation projections you completed for me on three separate properties in 2001,
2004, and 2006. Therefore, I thought it appropriate to write you a brief note telling you how pleased I was at the time and how I continue the great feelings as to the lasting nature of the quality of the work.

The 2001 project entailed the finishing of a large basement into four rooms and a full bath. The encased staircase, wood paneling, and a gas fireplace really set the project apart from a typical renovation. However, what I really liked on this project is how you listen to how I wanted to customize the space and translated those thoughts into a beautiful finished product.

In 2004 I needed a complete interior redo (kitchen, bath living room extension, etc.) for a rental apartment. This was a different goal than the 2001 high quality home enhancement. However you approached this work with the same professional standards and enthusiasm.. We were so pleased and believe these traits set you apart from many of your competitors.

In 2006 we moved to a home that again had a full basement but was only partially finished. This time you built an exercise room (which appears like a mini version of a fitness facility), a cedar closet, and finished two other spaces for organized storage. We have been told time and again that the quality work coupled with the distinctive nature of the enhancements has added economic value to the property excess of the costs. But what is more important to us is the enhancement of the quality of the living space.

In summary, among the reasons we continue to use your services are your unique ability to listen to a customer’s ideas, the high quality of the finished product, the professionalism of you and your team, the communication on a timely manner as to ‘cost to budget’, and the peace of mind we have dealing with someone with your level of experience. Please feel free to share this note with future business prospects should they want to hear from a very satisfied customer of Collamore Built.

New Kitchen

We had heard from friends who had done renovations that we should prepare ourselves for several months of inconvenience. While it was inconvenient to lose the kitchen during the renovations it wasn’t as bad as we expected. Justin and his crew were very helpful in planning the project to minimize inconveniences. The end results were well worth it!

Justin really listened during the design phase and paid attention to what we said we wanted. Justin’s creativity and ideas provided us with a remodel that meets our needs and looks great, is well done and stayed within budget. We really felt that the design process was a collaborative effort instead of a sales pitch, Justin was really patient and helpful with the material selection. He had great suggestions and was able to help us keep the materials in line with our budget.

Justin and his crew became like extended family. They had a job to do and they did it very efficiently but never forgot that they were in our home. We never had a concern with giving them access to our house even when we weren’t at home.

We liked that Justin and the crew were open to suggestions and ideas from the start to finish. From the extra storage space we added over the closet, to the inexpensive circulating fan to address an unexpected code requirement. Even if the ideas were a little crazy, Justin and Nate would consider the reason for the idea and never made us feel like we were way off base.

We have and will continue to recommend Collamore Built.

Justin listened to our needs for the addition to make our home convenient for us in our retirement years. It was important to us to take advantage of our lovely views on our property as well as creating a seamless addition to our 1800’s home. Justin presented us with a design that exceeds our expectations. The project was well thought out and moved forward as planned. Justin’s attention to detail and knowledge of products available gave us a beautiful addition with our budget.

Justin and his crew have high standards. From foundation to finished project, each crew member did their job on time and in a very professional manner. We were impressed with the quality of their workmanship and the professional and pleasant attitude of each crew member.

We have recommended Collamore Built to our friends and neighbors and will continue to do so. Our experience with Collamore Built was a positive one. Our home is lovely, comfortable and functional for us in every way we had hoped and more.

Thanks Collamore Built for such a great job!

New Kitchen

I think the design process went very well. Justin seemed to pick up on what we were looking for and had the know how to make it materialize. It was easy to work through the 3rd party businesses you suggested and with everyone at Collamore Built. When we started to get out of synch with the budget, we appreciated that you were able to subtlety nudge us back in line and make us aware of our choices/costs. The timeline was honored with no major glitches.

I liked the people, the commitment to high quality, the flexibility and patience when we changed our minds, and the fact that we trusted everyone on your team. If we really had constructive criticism, we would offer it, but we can’t really think of anything.
We recommend Collamore Built every chance we get for the reasons above.
